Water Resource Recovery Facility

The City of Canandaigua's Water Resource Recovery Facility is in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Pretreatment Standards for Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW).  The existing facility was originally constructed in 1964 with major additions and improvements added on in 1980, 2003 and 2011.  Our facility is a fixed film, biological treatment facility permitted to treat 6.5 million gallons of wastewater per day.
